NARRATOR:There cannot be victory without there first being a struggle. The
empty tomb would have no significance if it weren't for the finished
work of Christ on the cross. In John, chapter 8, Jesus said, "Everyone
who commits sin is a slave to sin." Romans 3:23 tells us there is not
one human being who is without sin. But God showed His love for
us by giving His Son, Jesus, to die for us . . . even though we are
sinners. We've all heard the phrase, "Someone worth dying for."
That's the beauty of the cross—even though our sin should have
made us worthless, Jesus loved us. He loved us so much that He died
to purchase our freedom. Because of that, we are . . . redeemed. We
are redeemed.
