A vivid portrayal that features themes based on a

an ascending line above it (sky). The composer has
crafted the perfect balance among the lively, march-
like opening statement, the slower, lyrical middle
section, and the stately return of the original theme.

Based around rhythmic figures that create a wind-like

alternates between 6/8 and 9/8, staying rhythmically
dynamic throughout. A very brief moment of repose
hints at the period of calm that comes in the middle
or "eye" of bigger storms. The fury of the storm then
returns, with darker sonorities and increased energy, as
this descriptive work comes to an exciting conclusion.

Particles—Michael Sweeney. This unusual work
portrays the transformation of matter from solid to

energetic as the melodic particles transform into gas.
Using unique scoring techniques, a few aleatoric
sections and dramatic percussion effects, this
descriptive work will stir the imagination!
