Here is a great Marty Paich arrangement for the Dave Pell Octet recorded on the Pell of a Time album in 1957. This chart features solos for Trumpet and Trombone, and is scored for Tenor Sax, Baritone Sax, Trumpet, Trombone, Guitar, Piano, Bass and Drums. This is one of the easier Dave Pell charts, but it's absolutely beautiful. This medium-up Afro/Cuban chart features tenor saxophone, baritone saxophone, trumpet, trombone, piano, bass, and drums. There's an improvised trumpet solo, and the chart is pure small group excitement. 10292135 4 Horns with Rhythm Section . . . . . . M 35.00 n Behind YouGordon Goodwin. As performed by Gordon Goodwin's Little Phat Band, the instrumentation is tenor sax, trumpet, trombone, piano, guitar, acoustic bass, and drums. Featuring intricate and effective six horn scoring with solos for tenor sax and/or guitar, this is a terrific full-blown production for little big band. M 45.00 n BoplicityMiles Davis & Gil Evans. This Gil Evans arrangement is quite possibly one of the most famous jazz arrangements of all time. It is presented here as recorded, directly from the original manuscript. All solos have been transcribed, although chord changes are included in the event your players wish to improvise. This is not a complicated arrangement and is within reach of most proficient bands. Solos are featured for baritone sax, trumpet, and piano. An alternate B-flat part for the French Horn is included that may be played by Trumpet 2 or Tenor Sax. The tuba part may be played by bass trombone. Originally composed by Claude Debussy in 1890 for piano, this arrangement is a fresh take on one of the most beautiful and often-heard solo piano pieces.
