Highly melodic for both the ensemble and soloist, the ranges are reasonable and the band is featured as well as the soloist. Mi Bossa Es Su Bossa is an original bossa nova based on a similar chord progression to All the Things You Are. For variety there's a contrasting swing section in the middle before returning to the orginal bossa nova style. Piano and bass and then trombones provide the introduction before cup-muted trumpets in unison take the first statement of the melody. The sax section takes the bridge before the full ensemble closes the first chorus.
