E 40.00 4 Night of the Mojito—Andrew Neu. Reminiscent of the music of Quincy Jones and Henry Mancini in the 1960s, this catchy boogaloo for advancing groups is a fun-loving fusion of Brazilian, Afro/ Cuban and American funk influences. The easy solo changes are based on a minor blues with an 8-bar bridge; while tenor sax and trumpet are the designated soloists, chords are also cued for alto sax and trombone. 10452995 Jazz Ensemble . . . . . . . . . . . At around 140 bpm, this chart is fun, accessible and jazz band approved! 10457925 Jazz Ensemble . . . . . . . . . . ME 48.00 4 Tutu—Marcus Miller/arr. Michael Philip Moss- man. In 1987 Miles Davis took home the Grammy award for best jazz instrumental soloist for his performance of this composition by Marcus Miller. From the album of the same name, Tutu is creatively arranged here for full big band in a sultry hip-hop fusion style similar to the original. Featuring distinctive modal style harmonies, and a few twists and turns, and solos for trumpet (naturally) and alto sax, this is sure to be a standout selection for any ensemble! 10461358 Jazz Ensemble . . . . . . . . . . MA 55.00 l Uptown Funk!—arr. Paul Murtha. As arranged by Paul Murtha, this Bruno Mars mega hit retains all the signature riffs and excitement of the original. The pop/funk style is a perfect showcase for that lighter spot in any performance, and the band and audience will be in the groove. This one is hot! 10500110 Jazz Ensemble . . . . . . . . . . . Fun, funky, hip, groovy — call it what you want, this chart is excellent in every way... and if you have a decent bari player, he or she will really love this one. There are written solos for alto and tenor sax, a stop-time without rhythm section for the saxes, a fantastic interlude section, a monster shout chorus, and some short drum fills... what's not to like!?
