It swings at 152 bpm, the key is F and the vocal range is A below middle C to 3rd space C, treble clef. There are no instrumental solos, and the lead trumpet range is to G on top of the staff. Plus, there are optional solo instrumental parts for B-flat, E-flat and bass clef instruments to be used in lieu of the vocal solo. A great tune, and a great chart! Victor Lopez takes this iconic jazz ballad and turns it into a beautiful setting for solo vocalist and jazz ensemble. In a medium swing, ballad style at around 88 bpm, this chart features easy ranges, no instrumental solos, an instrumental interlude, and easy instrumental parts. Optional solo parts are included for C, B-flat, E-Flat Instruments and Trombone to be used in lieu of the vocal solo part. The vocal range is from low A-flat to C third space in the key of A-flat. Here's the Gershwin classic for solo vocalist arranged by Dave Wolpe! Arranged in two keys for vocal flexibility (just flip the page for the desired key), this chart features a nice, relaxed swing feel, just like the original! There's a great middle section that will also shine the spotlight on the band. Wolpe knows how to make your vocalist sound fantastic and how to keep the band happy with some Sinatra style ensemble writing. This is Neal Hefti's brilliant arrangement from the Frank Sinatra recording Sinatra and Swingin' Brass. This medium swing chart is in the Basie style and has that unmistakable Hefti sound. Featured is a short, muted trumpet solo that has been transcribed and included. There are no saxophone doubles and the vocal key is E-flat. 10062059 Jazz Ensemble & Vocalist . . . . . . . . . MA 65.00 4 This Can't Be LoveRichard Rodgers/arr. Dave Wolpe. This Richard Rodgers standard is a vocal solo feature, but the ensemble and the vocalist are really featured. You will enjoy the give and take between the ensemble and the vocalist. In a medium swing style, it's arranged in two keys: High B-flat (male); and Low C (female)... just turn the page over for a different key. The lead trumpet range is to written high B above the staff and there is a written-out tenor sax solo. A tenor saxophone solo part is included if a vocalist is not available. From the Frank Sinatra and Nelson Riddle Collaboration, "Songs for Swingin' Lovers," comes this wonderful chart on Too Marvelous for Words. Altos 1 and 2 double on flutes and tenors 1 and 2 double on clarinets; however alternate parts are included avoiding these doubles. This definitive arrangement is instantly recognizable from the first few notes and has been adapted to conform to standard big band instrumentation. ME 50.00 You Are the Sunshine of My LifeStevie Wonder/arr. Mark Taylor. From the album Talking Book, this ever-popular Stevie Wonder hit won a Grammy award for him in 1973. Dave Wolpe has created a highly effective medium swinger for vocalist and jazz band on this great standard, arranged in both high (E-flat, Male) and low (B-flat, Female) keys for flexibility. If a different key is desired simply flip the page. There are no instrumental solos, but a brief trombone section soli and a nice full band interlude are offered for contrast and variety. The lead trumpet range is to high C, and there is an optional tenor saxophone solo part to be used as a substitute for the vocal solo. Here is You Make Me Feel So Young as arranged by Quincy Jones for the performance and recording of Frank Sinatra with the Count Basie Orchestra on the Sinatra Live at the Sands album of 1966. The original Quincy Jones manuscript was used to publish this arrangement, and it is not a transcription. The original arrangement called for a 5th trumpet that was played by Harry "Sweets" Edison. This part primarily contains the chord changes for the fills that he played, but there was also a brief part that was written for him to play at the last 7 bars of the arrangement. The chord changes have been written into the 1st trumpet part in the event you don't have a 5th trumpet player. Those last 7 bars of the 5th trumpet part may be left out as they are not integral. You can hear the train comin' down the track with this big band classic that features vocal quartet or chorus.
