H A Christmas Fantasy for Jazz BandPaul
Clark. This very creative arrangement based
upon What Child is This? and O Come, O Come
Emmanuel will make a wonderful addition to holiday
concerts. With very few exceptions, the horn parts
amazingly never play anything more complicated
than quarter notes and the ranges are very
reasonable, yet the sound is huge and impressive.
For musical contrast, there are short written solos
for piano, alto, trumpet, and a short duet for both
altos accompanied by a driving, "steamroller"
rock feel. It's also playable with an optional
reduced instrumentation of 3 saxes, 3 trumpets,
1 trombone and 3 rhythm. Totally awesome and
highly recommended!
