This familiar Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart jazz standard has certainly retained its timeless quality even today. Add great dynamics, well-notated rhythm section parts, and options for augmented instrumentations and you have a chart that really delivers. The song that launched Michael Jackson's famous "moonwalk" was also one of the top-selling singles of the year in 1983. The iconic melody is traded around between the saxes and brass. Here's a beautiful setting by Mark Taylor that features creative scoring and harmonies, giving it a more sophisticated sound than its easy level would indicate.
