Arranger Peter Blair has taken the hot Gordon Goodwin chart Act Your Age and revised it for developing players. "Slick and funky" describes this very accessible arrangement. The lead trumpet has a written A above the staff, but technically this chart is not difficult and will come together quickly to earn a spot in your program. The band will love it, too! Here's a wonderful take on the group Toto's classic rock tune from the '80s. It's solidly scored throughout and sounds amazingly like the original while remaining accessible for developing jazz bands. With nice dynamic contrasts, an uncomplicated melodic line, and a medium rock groove, this chart is one that younger players can really dig into, yet it will sound mature when performed by a more advanced group.
