This arrangement of I Hope In Time a Change Will Come Along came about through a desire to hear and play more than one chorus of this stunningly beautiful blues tinged melody by Oliver Nelson. Here is a great sounding arrangement that features a written solo for alto saxophone, tasteful ensemble accompaniment lines, and later a written solo for trumpet. The introduction features the trombones, followed by the alto solo with piano, development, more alto solo space, some double time sections, then back to the ballad tempo with the solo, and a big ensemble ending.
