A musical adaptation of Oscar Wildes story
Written and arranged by Sheila Wilson
 Redhead Music Ltd. 2004
This musical retells the beautiful story by Oscar Wilde of a selfish giant whose heart
is melted by a group of children who play in his garden.
It is ideal for a concert performance either with or without the play,
at any time of year, and it is also ideal as an alternative to traditional
Christmas or Easter productions.
The songs can also be used individually for choir or class work, or for music festivals.
In addition to the story itself, the musical encompasses themes of citizenship,
seasons, weather and bereavement, sensitively woven between
moving and joyous songs.
The CD provides full demonstrations of the songs, plus backing tracks
for rehearsals or performances.
Duration: c.45 minutes (including play)
