16 642173-16 RILEY: Okay, okay, I'll do it. (RILEY takes the envelope off the sign, opens it and reads.) Good morning, kids. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is Mark 16:15. This mission involves using your unique gifts and talents to share the Good News with people all around you. For more information on what the Good News is, see John 3:16. For more information on how to accomplish your mission, see Ephesians 2:10. SETH: What is Mark 16:15? And all those other numbers? KELSEY: Those are Bible verses. Hey, I still have my Bible in my backpack from kids club last night. I'll look them up! (thumbs through her Bible and fi nds Mark 16:15) Here it is. Mark 16:15: "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation." (NIV) RILEY: So that's our mission? Go into all the world and preach? SETH: Umm… I've never been out of the state. And preach? I don't really do that sort of thing. ANNIE: Well, I have stage fright, so I'm not speaking in public! SETH: Hey! So what are those other verses? ANNIE: Well, I know John 3:16: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him, should not perish but have everlasting life." That must be the Good News the note mentioned. KRIS: What's the other verse on there about? KELSEY: (reads from her Bible) Ephesians 2:10: "For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." (NIV) ANNIE: It sounds like somebody thinks we have a job to do—a mission! SETH: But God's handiwork? What in the world does that mean? KRIS: It sounds like God created each one of us with special abilities to carry out our mission. SETH: Well, whoever gave us those instructions obviously doesn't understand that we're just kids. Just ordinary people. How are we supposed to do anything special? KRIS: I don't know. But God does have a habit of using ordinary people to do extraordinary things. KELSEY: That's true. I mean, the Bible has tons of stories about God doing something amazing to accomplish HIS mission. Maybe He can do the same with us! +2 ]11 Song: Crazy Things For Preview Only
