NARRATOR :
In the garden of Gethsemane where Jesus had prayed, He was arrested, endured
a mockery of a trial, and was found guilty of blasphemy. Jesus Christ...the only
begotten Son of God...was to be crucified the next day. He was scourged and
tortured through the night and early morning, and then forced to bear a heavy
cross on His bleeding back on the long walk up Calvary's mountain.
(music to "Man of Sorrows" begins)
