80 44526 44526 HE IS THE LIGHT Candles are often used in the quieter moments in Christmas services, but consider lighting candles for a select group (the choir, actors, and/or narrator) and/or the entire congregation at the beginning of this anthem. At the peak of the anthem (measure 55) the candles are raised triumphantly. Candles are extinguished when the anthem concludes. LOVE CAME DOWN AT CHRISTMAS As the prayer is spoken following "He Is the Light," the lights are lowered, once again revealing the single white, lit candle on the altar or other prominent spot in front of the congregation. After the prayer concludes, the choir sings "Love Came Down at Christmas." Lights are raised at the conclusion of the anthem. A Postlude can be added so the congregation knows definitively the musical is concluded. For Preview Only
