I Heard the Voice of Jesus Say
(KINGSFOLD)
arr. Jefferey A. Hall.
The singing bell technique opens this haunting and evocative
arrangement of the hymn tune
KINGSFOLD. In the first half of the
piece, a quiet yet persistent eighth-note pattern adds a wonderful
counterpoint to the familiar melody. Then the roles are reversed and
the counterpoint appears in the upper treble bells with the melody being
carried in the bass staff. Finally, both ideas are blended with a simple
yet exquisite outcome. Optional 3 octaves of handchimes.

O God, Our Help in Ages Past
arr. Karen L. Buckwalter.
Expansive cathedral chords give way to original Baroque-like material
that introduces the familiar melody. Set in full majestic chords, the ST.
ANNE tune proceeds with the original material occurring after each
phrase. Bell peals and cathedral chords return for a glorious ending.
This setting is an excellent choice to begin a festive service such as
Reformation or church dedications. Highly recommend!

Shout for Joy
Cathy Moklebust.
A delightful piece based on Psalm 100 ("Make a joyful noise to the
Lord, all the earth,") this original features a beautiful melody with
dynamic rhythms. The piece is arranged in three distinct sections: a
spirited "joyful noise," reflection on "Know that the Lord, He is God,"
and an energetic "Enter His gates with thanksgiving," all following the
contour of the psalm text. Optional narration will bring the scripture to
life, coordinating text to music. Mallets and martellato techniques add
excitement. Use this piece with any festive occasion in praise of God.
Optional 3-5 handchimes.
