Beautiful Christmas, Beautiful Child
Narrator #1: We enjoy the beauty of Christmas - the music and candles, the greenery and
flowers, the symbols of the manger and the star. But these are not merely decora ons.
This is a place of worship and adora on.
Narrator #2: From the warmth of the candles to the graceful charm of the na vity; from
the crimson flowers to the evergreen branches; we pray that all these things will draw us
into the story of Christmas and help us remember the power, the simplicity, and the mean-
ing of birth of Christ.
Narrator #1: So let us open our eyes to the beauty of Christmas as we worship the beau -
ful Child, who is Christ, the Lord.
Sugges on: During the singing of "Beau ful Christmas, Beau ful Child," various tradi onal
Christmas decora ons may be brought forward. At "Come and worship" (m.81), a tree may
be illumined and/or the figures of Mary, Joseph, and the Child may be brought forward.
