For Preview Only 47 PRODIGAL: Seemed like a good idea. And my father lets me make my own choices. I took the money and came to this town, and well… well, I… MORRIS: Let me guess… you partied like a rock star. PRODIGAL: Oh, I was a star all right. Everybody wanted to be my friend. Until the money ran out. And then I had to get a job - taking care of pigs! I'm LOST I tell you! Utterly LOST! CURLY CUE: Oh, that is sad. PINKY: SO sad. HAMBONE: It makes a feller want to sing the blues. Pinky, Curly-Cue – let's strike up the band! (PINKY and CURLY-CUE pick up instruments.) CURLY CUE: You got it, Hambone! PINKY: Hit it! 13 / 31 SONG: SHOULDA NEVER LEFT HOME BLUES A LITTLE DIRECTION: The PAIR 'O BULLIES may look tough, but they turn out to be completely non-threatening. By looking at people the way God looks at people, MORRIS is learning that despite appearances, people often surprise us with kindness. Make sure students notice that the PAIR OF BULLS and the PAIR 'O BULLIES relate to characters who frightened MORRIS in Scene 1. When you realize how much you are loved and treasured by God, you find confidence to "do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." Want more direction?
