Narrator 1: His name was Joseph.
Narrator 3: Joseph was a just man,
Narrator 2: …a good man;
Narrator 1: He had a good and faithful heart.
Narrator 2: Joseph loved God and always tried to do the
right thing.
Narrator 3: But then, he heard rumors…
Narrator 1: …rumors that Mary was with child,
Narrator 2: (with a hushed voice) "She's with child." (slight pause)
Narrator 3: Mary and Joseph were to be husband and wife one
day, but now she was with child, and he was not
the father.
Narrator 2: (with a hushed voice) "Mary is with child…"
(slight pause)
Narrator 1: Late one sleepless night, Joseph struggled…
Narrator 2: …he struggled with what he should do.
Narrator 3: (as an inner voice) "Joseph, you are not the father.
No one…
Narrator 1: …no one will blame you if you turn her away."
(slight pause)
Narrator 2: But he was a just man,
Narrator 3: …a good man…and he decided to quietly let her go
to save her from more disgrace.
Narrator 2: But just as he drifted off to sleep, an angel entered
his dreams and told him of another plan.
Narrator 1: Listen to the angel, Joseph.
Narrator 3: Listen to the voice that calls you down a different road…
Narrator 2: …a higher road.
Narrator 1: Rise up, Joseph and prove what it means to be a
strong and faithful man.
