Narration:
Jesus went forth with His disciples across the Kidron Valley where
there was a garden.
As they were walking, Jesus said to them, "This night they will strike
the Shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered."
But Peter insisted, "Even if everyone else forsakes you, I will not!"
Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, even this very night, you will disown
me three times before the rooster crows."
When they had arrived at the place called Gethsemane, Jesus said, "Sit
here while I go and pray, for my soul is very sorrowful, even to death;
remain here and keep the watch."
And going a little deeper into the
garden He fell on His face and prayed
saying, "My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; yet, not
as I will but your will be done."
