CANDLES OF GRACE - SATB
Narration:
The chief priest determined to put Jesus to death. Very early in the
morning they brought Him before Pilate, the governor. Pilate had Jesus
whipped and beaten. The soldiers twisted a crown of thorns together and
put it on His head.
They put Him in a purple robe and mocked Him, saying "Hail, king of
the Jews!"
As soon as the people saw Jesus they began to cry out, "Crucify Him!
Crucify!" Hearing the shouts of the mob, Pilat
e handed Him over to be
crucified.
Jesus was led to a place called Golgotha, where He was crucified with
two common criminals.
As people passed they hurled insults at Him, shouting, "Come down
from the cross, if you are the Son of God."
Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do."
