above an underlying triplet pattern. The B
section makes another appearance before the
A section returns, racing towards the finish, but
not before a surprise flatline, leading to a spine-
tingling and breathtaking conclusion.

The Mysterious Stranger

melody moves throughout the two-octave
range. A slow tempo and a thin bass line make
the bass clef part feasible for one ringer and
very easy for two ringers. Although completely
workable for G4 to F6, the optional C4 and F4
add richness. Bell changes for E5 and B5 plus
many eighth notes put it at Level 2. A total of 55
measures, this piece is written in C minor.
